Emma Momberg

Education Recruitment Manager

Heading up the international side of ASQ, Emma is growing the team which manages education roles worldwide.

Emma is your go-to adviser who helps candidates secure their dream international role and connecting them to strong, appealing roles across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.  She liaises closely with candidates and schools to ensure the perfect fit from both sides, and ensures the recruitment process is smooth, friendly, and meaningful.

A background in the tourism industry means that Emma applies her passion for worldwide travel, and her extensive geographical knowledge, to support candidates who are looking to relocate to a new country.  Emma has travelled to a number of different locations over the years for work, and is well-placed to provide her top tips for moving overseas and an insight into what to expect.

As a Mum to two children, Emma is greatly involved in school-life and member of the committee; she has a real passion for education.  Living in a coastal town, Emma makes the most of her “me-time” with trips to the beach, connecting with friends and family, and even enjoying the odd cappuccino or on special occasions, a cocktail!

If you’re looking for a great new teaching role in Asia, Lauren is your go to person for your next adventure!  She can assist with a variety of vacancies across China, Thailand, Taiwan and even Singapore!

Having enjoyed a 3-year teaching stint in Thailand, Lauren has already walked the ‘relocation’ path to pursue a career overseas, and recognises that it can be both a thrilling and anxious time. She also worked for many years as a travel agent, accumulating insight into different countries and cultures. Lauren’s working history means she can fully support candidates and schools, ensuring the best outcomes for both.

With a careful eye, Lauren has a unique skill for upcycling old furniture and turning it into something new and beautiful. Whilst she currently keeps most items for herself, she’s hoping to turn her hobby into a promising side-line.  Coming from a large extended family, Lauren has twin boys herself, who keep her very busy!  Lauren spends her free time socialising with friends and family; having cuddles and adventures with her boys and enjoys a glass of red wine on the couch with true crime documentary.

If you’ve spotted one of our ASQ International job advertisements, it’s likely that Lauren put it together! Besides posting vacancies, Lauren screens prospective candidates, matches applicants to vacancies, and draws up exceptional shortlists for international schools to interview.

Lauren is also the person to turn to for top tips on how to prepare for interviews, and is an indispensable source of information on living in, and relocating to, a new country.

In recent years Lauren has regularly undertaken 6-week practical teaching roles as part of a four-year study programme. Now in her final year, Lauren continues to work towards a Batchelor degree in Education during the evenings!

With a busy life outside of work, Lauren values any downtime that comes her way! She is Mum to a primary-school aged girl, and together they love being around family and friends. The Summer months see Lauren spend as much time as possible outdoors while as the nights get shorter, she occasionally enjoys a spot of wine tasting in her local area!

Jacqui Truelove

Outside the world of education, Jacqui is a fan of farmers markets, enjoys craft beers and food pairing.  Another new pastime is crocheting, which Jacqui has recently discovered is not only a great way to relax but also quite addictive, and she’s on the way to completing a cracking scarf!
